Repurposing an old Mushroom basket

I bought this old mushroom basket from Martin Mattox.**  
I thought I would have some great inspiration and do something rad with it.  

It's been a year, and I've done NOTHING.

  

I need help.  I need some good ideas.

It has to go outside.  

It's too rustic/shabby for our decor in the house....

give me ideas!!!
